Michael made Fellow of Society of Light & Lighting (SLL)

Michael has been made a ‘Fellow’ of the Society of Light & Lighting (SLL).

The honour recognises Michael’s contribution to the lighting profession over the last 20 years. The announcement was made in person by Liz Peck (Past President) at the Michael Grubb Studio Summer Beach Party.

“As part of the criteria for becoming a Fellow of the SLL, the Society’s Fellowship Panel assess whether the individual has made an outstanding contribution to the Society and the wider lighting industry. In Michael’s case, there was no question.

Michael has been an active member of the SLL for a number of years and in 2015, he and his team delivered the breath-taking scheme for the Jurassic Coast site, as part of the multi-award winning Night of Heritage Light.

Michael continues to speak at events around the world, informing people about the art and science of light. As a Society, we feel his ongoing input is invaluable.

“Being able to inform Michael in front of his lighting friends and colleagues was a true pleasure; Michael is a very worthy Fellow of the SLL”.

Liz Peck MSc FSLL, Past President

The SLL represents the interests of all those interested in the application of light. This includes lighting designers, engineers, researchers, students, professors and suppliers.
