Michael Grubb Studio’s lighting scheme for Queensway Residence has been published in Architects Journal (21.04.16/ Volume 243 / Issue 100).
The project is a collaboration between developer Baylight and Robin Lee Architecture involving the conversion of a former warehouse building in Bayswater, West London.
The original brief was to upgrade and subdivide the building to form lettable office spaces. Early discussions about the potential of the building led to several iterations of the subdivide, culminating in the decision to form a single dwelling arranged across two floors, with one floor of the building converted to an office for Baylight. The brief included a requirement to maximise the potential of the roof space through alterations to the building envelope.
