Michael Grubb Studio has been commissioned by University of Cambridge to provide an exterior Lighting Masterplan for the New Museums Site.
The New Museums Site is one of the Cambridge University’s central and most prominent sites, occupying an historic location in the city centre with a unique, globally important heritage. The earliest records show the site as the location of an Augustinian Friary and its gardens. Later, in the 18th century, the site was taken into the University’s ownership, first as its Botanic Garden and then, in the second half of the 19th century, as a location for buildings specifically designed for the study of the Natural Sciences.
The Studio will be working in collaboration with LDA Design, Holmes Wood, Artist Annie Cattrell, Bennetts Associates and Nicholas Hare Architects.
