Michael Grubb Studio designed and delivered a new temporary exhibition space for the London School of Economics (LSE).

Situated within the LSE Library Building the gallery includes a large multimedia showcase and a multi-touch interactive table.

Working as sub-consultants to RAA we collaborated with the in-house curators and architects, Architecture PLB.

Daylight is controlled via an intelligent blind management system. This monitors light levels throughout the day and adjusts the blinds accordingly. The lighting control system can be set depending on light level requirements, with 50, 100 and 200 Lux settings set for client use.

Artificial lighting for exhibits is supported by a range of architectural features that are discreetly hidden and/or incorporated within architectural features, such as the suspended canopy.

Lighting within these components allow exhibitions and special events to be branded and set via the use of colour. These are all controlled via the central control system.
