Michael Grubb Studio proudly supported the Night of Heritage Lighting, which was held across the UK and Ireland on 1st October 2015.
Organised by the Society of Light & Lighting the initiative celebrated the skills of its members and promote UNESCO World Heritage Sites – all in acknowledgement of the UNESCO International Year of Light 2015 (#IYL2015).
Sites included Tower of London, Giants Causeway, Liverpool Maritime, Ruins of Fountains Abbey, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct & Canal, Ironbridge Gorge, Blaenavon Industrial Landscape, Blenheim Palace and Old & New Towns of Edinburgh – with Michael Grubb Studio working on Durdle Door, located along the Jurassic Coast.
To our surprise over 3000 members of the public descended on the site to watch us illuminate the iconic arch using a variety of lighting techniques.
We also spent the day with the BBC ONE SHOW who filmed the entire process with the final edit being broadcast on 2nd October 2015.
