What we did
Michael Grubb Studio was appointed by the Clouston Group to provide a Lighting Strategy for all areas of the building. Working in collaboration with Xcite Architects a lighting scheme was developed to be impactful, respectful and also flexible to ensure it could cater for a wide variety of events.
Concept lighting proposals were then developed for the contractor to develop and install.
The history of the building is celebrated in the refined and respectful renovation the Clouston Group have carried out on the site, creating an exciting and unique new event space in the centre of Newcastle, with two main event spaces – the shop floor and mezzanine – as well as an outdoor area.
