RHS Chelsea Discover Garden, London, UK

Michael Grubb Studio collaborated with acclaimed landscape architects Wilson McWilliam Studio on the Cloudy Bay Discovery Pavilion, at the 2013 RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Working with the landscape team we produced an innovative scheme that enhanced the Cloudy Bay and provided a backdrop for corporate evening events.

Wilson McWilliam Studio worked with the concept ‘Always precious, sometimes scarce’.

This was expressed through the selection of materials and specific detailing or finishes, through to plants and planting, using rich associations and the focus on water as a precious resource.

The garden proposal was a space to be enjoyed and lived in, and part of a larger garden containing the essence of the Cloudy Bay lifestyle – reflecting quality, simplicity, elegance and proximity to nature.

Intensity of experience and a sense of discovery are also inherent within the design, reflecting a recurrent theme in the enjoyment of the wines and vineyards themselves.
