Finzels Reach, Bristol, UK

Bristol’s Finzels Reach is a 4.7 acre mixed-use development that is positioned along a highly desirable waterfront edge. Originally home to sugar refiners and brewers, it now offers a waterside location for homeowners and businesses.

The site overlooks the Floating Harbour and is within easy reach of all the cultural, commercial and leisure destinations within the City Centre.

Michael Grubb Studio provided a site wide Lighting Strategy for the external public realm and included architectural lighting for all associated building and surrounding structures.

The strategy looked to reuse and relocate existing lighting equipment, it also looked to create a more cohesive environment by implementing a set of lighting design principles for the site.

Concept lighting designs were also prepared for the new 90 metre Finzels Bridge, which will provide an easy access from Temple Mead to Castle Park.
