Fletton Quays, Peterborough, UK

Delivering a definite lighting strategy for the Peterborough Investment Partnership (PIP) provided direction for Fletton Quays – a new 6.4-hectare prime riverfront development, in Peterborough.

The location consists of derelict land and vacant buildings, but still enjoys a prestigious location on the banks of the River Nene. With stunning views of Peterborough Cathedral, it is close to the major road and rail connections as well as a short walk to Peterborough’s main commercial, shopping and recreational areas.

Working in partnership with landscape architects, Harrison Stevens, fellow design partners Norr and PIP, we helped shape the new lighting strategy.

The intention was for the ‘plot’ developers to adopt and implement over a series of phases. When complete, the scheme will deliver: 280 high-quality homes; 166,000 square feet of office space; a 160-bed hotel; restaurant; leisure and retail opportunities; public spaces; dedicated wildlife areas and the refurbishment of listed rail sheds.
