The project is run in partnership with Jamie’s Farm and will transform an acre of wasteland that runs along Royal Street and Carlisle Lane (SE1 7LH) into a productive working farm. The farm will be a safe, working and learning environment, where all life – people, plants and animals are nurtured and valued.
Opening late Spring 2015 the farm will be a haven from busy urban lives, using agriculture and horticulture to engage individuals, groups and the wider community.
There will be volunteer opportunities and public events where all are welcome. Sign up for the e-newsletter to hear news from the farm. To get more involved email firstname.lastname@example.org
The inaugural ReLIT Project was a resounding success, performing way beyond what we could have ever imagined. Over 20 leading lighting manufacturers supported the initiative, pledging lighting equipment that was used to transform the Shelly Theatre in Boscombe.
The project has gained national recognition picking up a LUX Award and being Commended at the Lighting Design Awards. There were magazine articles, presentations at tradeshows, social media discussions – all of which helped raise awareness of the issue of unused and unloved lighting equipment going to waste.
None of this could have been achieved without the support of those manufactures involved. So a big thank you to each and everyone of you!
Also a big thank you to all those who have contacted us following year 1, all of which means more support, more ideas and new manufacturers supporting the initiative. So lets keep the momentum going…
