Michael Grubb Studio has been appointed by developers O’Shea to provide lighting design services for Wickside, a new mixed-use quarter on the edge of London’s Olympic Park that includes 500 homes and 300 jobs.
Built on the site of a canalside refuse yard, the project aims to makes use of many of the existing Edwardian factory sheds, which will become the focus for a creative business cluster.
Michael Grubb Studio will be supporting Ash Sakula architects with the exterior lighting of the site. The scheme will include new and old buildings, with a complex public realm landscape which includes a linear park along the canal.
