Mike Cascarino and Melissa Byers Named 2023 WIN Awards Judges
Michael Grubb Studio is thrilled to announce that Head of London Studio, Mike Cascarino, and Head of Bournemouth Studio, Melissa Byers, have been named as judges for the 2023 WIN Awards.
Now in its 13th year, the WIN Awards, supported by World Interiors News, recognises the outstanding works of innovative and imaginative interior designs worldwide. The awards welcome submissions from interior designers, architects and product designers, offering the opportunity to showcase projects on the World Interior News platforms and receive valuable feedback and insight from industry leading designers.
Mike and Melissa join the global panel of experts, judging projects from across the world. They have been selected as judges based on their experience, expertise and integrity.
Mike’s passion for lighting was inspired by his education and early experiences of working in theatrical lighting. He has since established his career in architectural lighting design over the past decade, creating award-winning lighting designs for notable projects.
Mike commented: “I am honoured to have been selected as a judge for this prestigious awards programme. It is a privilege to be able to offer feedback on such a wide array of original and inspirational designs.”
With over 25 years of experience in the lighting industry, Melissa brings an unparalleled skillset to her work. She became established in lighting design following her career lighting for film and television. With a diverse background and client base, she delivers prestigious, complex, and large-scale projects.
Melissa added: “I’m thrilled to be selected as a judge and have the opportunity to give back to the design community, it is awe-inspiring to see the level of talented designers from around the world, and I’m especially looking forward to seeing innovative concepts that incorporate sustainability into their design.
